Custom Domains

Where: left menu → Domains

Use your own web address — like www.yourschool.com or yourschool.com — instead of the standard yourname.learnerfast.com.

What you need

• A domain you've bought from any provider (GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, Hostinger, Porkbun, etc.).
• Access to that provider's DNS settings page.

Step 1 — Add your domain

1. Click Add Domain.
2. Choose which website it should point to.
3. Type your domain — either www.yourschool.com or the root yourschool.com.

Both subdomain (www.yourschool.com) and root/apex (yourschool.com) domains are supported. The system will automatically detect which type you entered and give you the correct DNS records.

Step 2 — Set up DNS at your provider

After adding, LearnerFast shows the exact records to create (each value has a copy button).

For subdomains (www or custom)

For root / apex domains

A root domain (yourschool.com without any prefix) cannot use a CNAME record — DNS rules forbid it. Instead, add A records:

If your DNS provider supports ALIAS or ANAME records (Cloudflare, Route 53, DNSimple), you can point one at cname.learnerfast.com instead — it automatically tracks IP changes.

Log in at your domain provider → DNS settings → add the records → save.

Step 3 — Verify and go live

1. Wait 10–15 minutes for DNS changes to propagate (some providers take up to 48 hours).
2. Back in LearnerFast, click Verify on your domain card.
3. When verification succeeds the domain is automatically activated — your site goes live on your custom domain within minutes.

We automatically set up both www and non-www versions. If you add www.yourschool.com, visitors who type yourschool.com are redirected to it (and vice versa).

Managing domains

• Set primary — if you have several domains on one site, choose the main one visitors see.
• Remove — disconnects the domain from LearnerFast and removes it from hosting. Remember to also delete the DNS record at your provider to avoid broken links.

DNS provider guides

Click the Setup Guide button on the Domains page for step-by-step instructions for each provider. Here's a quick summary:

GoDaddy

1. Log in → My Products → DNS next to your domain
2. Click Add New Record
3. Type: CNAME, Name: www, Value: cname.learnerfast.com
4. TTL: 1 Hour → Save

If a www A record already exists, delete it first — A and CNAME can't coexist for the same host.

Cloudflare

1. Log in → select your domain → DNS tab → Add record
2. Type: CNAME, Name: www, Target: cname.learnerfast.com
3. Set Proxy status to DNS only (grey cloud icon)
4. Save

Important: Proxied mode (orange cloud) breaks verification. Set it to DNS only.

Cloudflare supports CNAME flattening at the apex — you can add a CNAME for @ pointing to cname.learnerfast.com instead of A records.

Namecheap

1. Log in → Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS
2. Add New Record → CNAME Record
3. Host: www, Value: cname.learnerfast.com, TTL: Automatic
4. Save changes

Google Domains / Squarespace

1. Log in → your domain → DNS
2. Custom records → Create new record
3. Type: CNAME, Host name: www, Data: cname.learnerfast.com
4. Save

Hostinger

1. Log in → Domains → Manage → DNS / Nameservers
2. Add New Record
3. Type: CNAME, Name: www, Target: cname.learnerfast.com
4. Save

Bluehost

1. Log in → Domains → Manage → DNS tab
2. Scroll to the CNAME section → Add Record
3. Host Record: www, Points To: cname.learnerfast.com
4. Save

The CNAME section is below the A records section — scroll down to find it.

Porkbun

1. Log in → Domain Management → DNS Records
2. Add New Record
3. Type: CNAME, Host: www, Answer: cname.learnerfast.com
4. Save

AWS Route 53

1. Log in → Route 53 → Hosted zones → your domain
2. Create record
3. Record type: CNAME, Value: cname.learnerfast.com
4. Create records
